MegaCorp Donates $20,000 for Florence Victims

MegaCorp Logistics, headquartered in Wilmington, NC, donated $20,000 to the #CapeFearStrong Fund via the WECT Red Cross Telethon to help support the victims of Hurricane Florence.

Katie Braskett, Director of Marketing at MegaCorp stated that, “We are so grateful to be able to help out our amazing community during such a trying time.” She went on to say “Many of our employees were directly affected by the storm, and it’s hard to see our city and MegaFamily going through these trying times.  We’re so thankful to our CEO, Ryan Legg, for allowing MegaCorp to make a generous donation.”

Reports are stating that the monetary damage from Florence is upwards of $22 billion.  This includes $1.1 billion worth of damage to North Carolina crops and livestock.  Not only do some people lose their homes, some also temporarily lose their incomes.  It is so important to give back if you can – every little bit helps.

MegaCorp Logistics CEO Donates Two Vehicles

MegaCorp founder and CEO Ryan Legg recently donated two vehicles to charitable causes on behalf of MegaCorp Logistics. This past Christmas MegaCorp adopted a family, and during this process, Legg learned they were in need of a vehicle. To their surprise, Legg presented the much-needed vehicle to them this spring.

The recipient of the vehicle, Cherie J., said she was “Happy she could pick up her children from school and see out-of-state family.” She went on to state how thankful she was for Ryan, MegaCorp, and this “life-changing gift.”

Legg and MegaCorp also donated an Escalade SUV to Women’s Aid in Crisis (WAIC) in Elkins, WV, where MegaCorp has a satellite office. According to The Inter-Mountain publication, “WAIC Director J. Leigh Palmer said the organization greatly appreciates the donation of a sport utility vehicle, noting it will assist in providing service for their clients and give them greater opportunity to become independent.”
